20th Annual Top Golf Tournament
Everyone had such a great time last year at Top Golf Las Vegas, that we have decided to go back. This year we are going to start a bit later in the day to accommodate those who are flying into Vegas on Friday and riders who have early press. The festivities will start at 1 pm PST for registration and play will start at 1:30 pm. All proceeds from this event will help R2R fund the Injured Rider Endowment, MX/SX Rider Ministry, and the Alpinestars Mobile Medical Center. Thanks to the support of our amazing partners, we are proud to say that Road 2 Recovery has never turned down an injured professional athlete in need of assistance and have been able to give over 7 million dollars to causes that fit our mission. In October 2017 Justin was diagnosed with cancer growing along the nerve in his jaw. This required a radical surgery removing a large portion of his jaw bone and 17 rounds of radiation. To occupy his mind and hands, he found and purchased two 500s to work on when he was fighting to survive during his recovery. This led to a discussion with me about rebuilding 500s and a garage build project. After all, the two of us grew up racing together in Arizona and we’ve both since become firefighters. Cancer within the fire service is rampant due to the exposure to carcinogenic materials on the job, making this project something very personal to both of us. Micky Dymond Fundraiser at Pole Position Raceway
Road 2 Recovery and Pole Position Raceway are hosting a fundraiser for Micky Dymond at the famous indoor kart track in Corona, California on November 4, from 5-9:30pm. Micky Dymond, a two-time AMA 125cc National Motocross Champ, recently suffered a serious head injury while training on a road bike. Motocross and Supercross fans will be able to race against some of the legends in the sport to help raise money. So far Jeff Ward, David Bailey, Grant Langston, Jeff Emig , Jeremy “Twitch” Stenberg and three-time kart national champion Billy Musgrave are among the riders who have committed. This is your chance to race karts against some of the sport’s biggest names from the past and present, and the list grows daily. The evening will be hosted by DJ Louie Ochoa with a truly legendary autograph signing open to the public from 5:30pm to 6:30pm.
