This year’s 17thAnnual R2R Monster Energy Golf Classic will be moving to the beautiful Stallion Mountain Golf Club in Las Vegas Nevada, just minutes from the strip and Sam Boyd Stadium. The proceeds from this event helps us fund the Injured Rider Insurance Endowment, along with Steve Hudson’s MX/SX Rider Ministry, and the Asterisk Mobile Medical Unit. On Sunday, September 18th The OTHG- South will be holding their annual 9-11 Memorial MX Race at LACR in Palmdale. There will be a signed autographed Ryan Dungey jersey that Road 2 Recovery will be selling raffle tickets for. This year (2017) the CCMA (Central Coast Motorcycle Association) has dedicated the Nathan Woods Memorial Off-Road Poker Run to raising funds for the benefit of Jessy Nelson through Road 2 Recovery, a purpose that Nathan would have whole heartedly supported. Jessy Nelson grew up locally riding the Pozo trails, and was mentored by the late Nathan Woods. The two racers practiced together, and even competed in the CCMA’s annual Hangover, in which Jessy was able to break Nathan’s long winning streak. The event consists of a 35 mile trail ride through the scenic and challenging motorcycle trails in the Los Padres National Forest, Black Mountain District (known locally as “Pozo”.) The staging area is about 20 miles from Santa Margarita, California. Pancake breakfast will be available for riders at 8:00 a.m. Riders will draw cards at various stations along the route.
