Hello Friends and Family,

We feel the urgent need to do something to help my sweet and loving family member Ronnie Tichenor, who is currently in the hospital recovering from surgery after suffering a severe spinal cord injury earlier this month.

In 1986, at just 16 years of age, Ronnie plunged onto the professional Supercross racing scene quickly establishing himself as a serious contender with consecutive 3rd, 2nd, and 1st place finishes in the 125cc class. Known for his smooth and stylish riding technique, he enjoyed a solid professional racing career, earning twenty-five outdoor national and 125 Supercross podium finishes. Highlights include him capturing a coveted 125 East Supercross Championship and winning the 1987 Daytona Supercross.

In 1993, an opportunity arose to represent Factory Team Suzuki which led to his transcontinental pilgrimage to Japan where he scored two championships along the way including winning the Japanese national championship for Factory Team Suzuki. His amazing success generated more interest in his status as a major contender bringing him back to the United States to rejoin the ranks of the motocross elite. Back home in the U.S., he took one final run at the AMA outdoor national championship title, retiring at the end of the 1997 season.

With his racing days behind him, he wasted no time getting back to work sharing his knowledge and skills with aspiring riders and quickly making a name for himself as one of the top riding coaches and trainers. Today, Ronnie is highly regarded as one of the best coaches and trainers in the business and has worked with some of the biggest names on the amateur circuit producing championship after championship as an instructor to world-class riders.

However, Ronnie recently suffered a server injury while coaching two amateur riders at his local motocross training facility in Groveland FL. He was transported to a hospital shortly after where physicians assessed his injuries. Ronnie sustained burst fractures at his L1 and L2 vertebrae and underwent surgery to stabilize his spine. He is now recovering at a local hospital and is expected to start inpatient therapy this week.

Ronnie is a single father to his younger son, Axl. With no health insurance, Ronnie is looking at a substantially large medical bill from his surgery, extended hospital stay, and long-term physical therapy. His family is remaining very positive, hoping and praying for the very best outcome for Ronnie. We are hopeful he will get through this fight of his life, but he will need help to keep his family afloat as he goes through this long and tedious healing journey.

The Bottom Line: Ronnie needs your help — our help — to give him the financial stability and peace-of-mind he needs for the fight of his life. Please join us in helping Ronnie. No amount is ever too small. Your donation will have a huge impact as all funds raised will go directly to Ronnie’s medical costs and continued care.

TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE FOR RONNIE. Please consider donating and SHARING to help us take the financial burden from Ronnie during this very emotional and challenging time for him and his family.

Sincerely,

The Tichenor Family
