1990’s 250 Pro Supercross Rider Jeremy Shuttleworth Hospitalized With A Severe Spinal Cord Injury Following a Crash at the Monster Energy AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship

Tax-Deductible Road 2 Recovery Donations go Toward Assisting Jeremy’s Medical Bills

On Tuesday, August 3, Jeremy Shuttleworth suffered a catastrophic crash during Moto 1 of the 40+ class at the Loretta Lynn’s Amateur National Motocross Championship in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee. Shuttleworth sustained a severe spinal cord injury and was immediately transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN, via helicopter Medical Transport.

Shuttleworth is in very critical condition, and his team of physicians is currently assessing his injuries with limited information available. Doctors have confirmed that he sustained multiple fractures to his C1 and C2 Vertebras, collapsed lungs, and substantial swelling around his brain. Earlier this morning, doctors performed a Burr Hole procedure to release the swelling and blood in his skull. This is the only procedure Shuttleworth has undergone at this time; his physicians are waiting for the swelling to subside to determine the best course of action and address all his other injuries. As more information on Jeremy Shuttleworth is available, we will continue to post updates on his status.

This is a very difficult time for the Shuttleworth family; they are exceedingly grateful for all the prayers and support. Jeremy is a hard-working and loving father with a single-minded determination of a fighter. #shuttlebusstrong #279strong
